Moses Aldrich Room
![]() ![]() |
The Moses Aldrich Room, redecorated in June 2009 is a tranquil escape from the modern world. The original painting by local artist, Kathy Perry, of Parker’s Farm in Lyman, captures the essence of Rural New Hampshire. The large three panel Artist’s Proof by Wendy Turner resembles nearby Lower Ammonoosuc Falls. The wide plank pine floors, rich fabrics, blanched almond walls, natural travertine and gas fireplace create a warm, timeless home away from home. Mountain and garden views are constant reminders of the beauty to be discovered in the White Mountains.
Moses Aldrich came to Sugar Hill as a young boy in 1780. He became a successful farmer and married Sarah Parker. They had 8 children. Today the Aldrich family is still in Sugar Hill owning both Poly’s Pancakes and Harman’s Cheese.
